The most common method of irrigation in agricultural fields is flood irrigation. For instance, when it comes to irrigating wheat, this method is widely used across most regions—though the only requirement is that there must be water flowing through the irrigation canals. And of course, someone still needs to oversee the process of watering the fields; sometimes, it’s even done at night. Either way, it’s definitely exhausting!
Agricultural irrigation is essentially large-scale field irrigation, and given the current situation, water scarcity has already become a global issue. In particular, groundwater levels in China are now showing a noticeable decline—something that those working in well-drilling can relate to most vividly.
Nowadays, well drilling is often becoming deeper and deeper, yet water quality isn't as good as it used to be. Faced with this situation, irrigation methods for large-scale fields are also undergoing significant changes. In particular, water-saving irrigation techniques—such as sprinkler irrigation and mobile sprinkler systems—are currently the most commonly used approaches in field irrigation.
The oscillating sprinkler, also known as the oscillating spray gun, can spray water over a distance of 8 to 20 meters—meaning it’s capable of irrigating an area that spans an entire large greenhouse. This makes it ideally suited for farming applications, particularly for crops like wheat. With such an extensive irrigation range, the layout of the irrigation pipelines required is significantly reduced, minimizing both labor and material costs. Oscillating sprinklers are typically available in three main materials: solid copper, zinc alloy, and plastic. They feature a reversing mechanism that allows for either full-circle or customizable fan-shaped spraying patterns. Equipped with low-friction sealing rings and a uniquely designed oscillating arm, these sprinklers boast exceptional durability and consistently reliable performance over their long service life.
